NeuroCognica
Back NeuroCognica
A plain support page for people who want this work to continue without joining a noisy membership platform. No tiers-as-theatre, no fake community wall, no promise that a donation buys control over the roadmap.
The cleanest funding model here is patronage, not Patreon. The work needs runway, test hardware, signing certificates, and time. It does not need a feed, reward ladder, Discord role, or monthly content machine pretending to be a research lab.
If you back this, you are funding public, local-first AI governance work and the one-person company building it.
Three useful ways to help
Buy the thing that ships
ChronoSophia is the current commercial wedge: governed, local 3D scene generation with a published safety gate and provenance ledger.
Sponsor a concrete blocker
The immediate blockers are boring and real: code signing, checkout, test devices, model storage, and time to harden the governance layer.
Fund a runway month
A month of focused work buys more than scattered evenings. The annual runway target is published on the funding page and can be broken into smaller patron or grant commitments.
The payment rail I would use
Patreon is built for a creator-membership business. That is not the shape of this work. The better setup is a simple support page here, with one or two external payment rails doing only payment.
Best recurring fit
Liberapay
Recurring donations, no platform cut, no perks requirement, and an ethos closer to open-source patronage than influencer membership. Use this if the goal is quiet monthly support.
Best one-click tip fit
Ko-fi
Simpler than Patreon and familiar to supporters. It can handle one-time support, recurring memberships, and embeds, but it still adds platform machinery around the payment.
The most sovereign option is Stripe Payment Links. It keeps the NeuroCognica page as the canonical fundraising surface and sends supporters off-site only for checkout. Use it once the tax and merchant setup are ready.
Until those links exist, the honest action is direct contact. No fake button should pretend to take money it cannot take.
What backing buys first
- Code signing: remove the unsigned-installer warning that currently makes a real product look less trustworthy than it is.
- Checkout: replace the current mailto purchase path with a cleaner payment path that does not widen legal or tax risk recklessly.
- Sentinel hardening: turn the governance core into a documented dependency other projects can adopt and test.
- Proof media: finish the product captures and benchmarks that let a stranger judge the work without taking anyone's word for it.
Start clean. Say whether you want to sponsor a specific blocker, fund runway, or discuss a larger grant. I will answer with the current state, what the money changes, and what evidence you can expect back.
